Photography Etc, is owned and operated by Dallas photographer Joyce M. Sanders. Joyce developed an interest in photography shortly after graduating from college. She bought her first 35mm camera, a few rolls of film, and set out to explore the world of photography. What a wonderful world it turned out to be! The results she produced led her to conclude that photography was one of the things she was put on this earth to do.

In 1989, Joyce became hooked on jazz photography. Combining her love for jazz with her love for photography has yielded great rewards. Spending time with, and photographing, the legends—and future legends—of jazz has created wonderful memories that she shares through her images.

With a knack for capturing people, Joyce made a natural transition into portrait photography. While she enjoys studio work, she has a preference for environmental portraiture, which allows a glimpse into the world of a person that cannot be achieved in a studio. She also turns her eye and lens to nature and wildlife— subjects that hold a special place in her heart.

Joyce is a member of the Texas Association of Professional Photographers, Dallas Association of Professional Photographers and Jazz Journalists Association.
